JS Error: "Tribute was already bound to TEXTAREA" about tribute HOT 4 CLOSED

The issue is that on key up you are rebinding to the same element on the page. The library adds a data-tribute attribute to the element to let you know that you are potentially double binding events.

What I would do is bring the instantiation of the Tribute instance, and attachment to the element, outside the scope of the event listener. You are also doing a request for allBrandUsers data for every key up event. I don't recommend doing this as this will put an unnecessary load on your server and the page. You might not need the key up listener at all from what I can tell.

Thanks for the feedback. Based on your suggestions, this is fixed and there is no error with tribute. This is user error. The allBrandUsers is cached once as a variable and then referenced, so no issues there.

My data collection was structured incorrectly and all is well. Closing.
