I have tested this on 3.4.0.2 but I did receive the same error. I am not sure if it is my fault.

@volkanozsarac

I recommend partitioning it yourself instead of waiting for a fix.

@volkanozsarac The script worked for me with auto_partition as True or False. Which metis library is installed on your system?

@mhscott

I have 5.1.0. version (both static and shared) installed but doesn't work.

@mbbatukan
Thanks, I am aware of it but I do not need such an operation at the moment, I am merely trying to learn how to do it in case I need it later. Moreover, I thought it would be a good idea to tell the potential issues I found as a tester. Of course, manual partitioning is an option, and it is indeed faster in terms of computational time if done properly. Yet, doing it properly may take time and may not fit into my modeling framework easily later on.

@mhscott
I use metis version 5.1.0, mpich 3.3.2, python 3.9.5. Not sure what is the issue, but maybe I can try to work it out with the version you use? I used apt to install all.

apt list --installed
Listing... Done
...
metis/focal,now 5.1.0.dfsg-5 amd64 [installed]
...
mpich/focal,now 3.3.2-2build1 amd64 [installed]
...
python3.9/focal-updates,focal-security,now 3.9.5-3ubuntu0~20.04.1 amd64 [installed]
