I confirm the problem.
O+ doesn't call user error handler when compiles PHP scripts.
It must not be a big problem for production usage, because dispaly_errors should be "off" anyway.
It will take some time to make a "proper" fix and test it.
Unfortunately, time is always a problem :(

Just a thought, but some apps use error handler in production to build up error reports for email rather than display, so its pretty important that it does work in production too ...

We use user error handlers as well to display an oops-page and track the error (via syslog) so we have an overview of what's happening. Any news around this feature request?

Unfortunately, it's not easy to fix this for all cases.
