Some angular directive experiments
Angular Essentials with TypeScript
An empty project intented to be used as a template for when starting up new projects. Angular front-end, Intent Architect managed models; services; repository patterns; dependency injection etc
The first MVC Spike that I did a couple of years ago. The idea was that a church could use this website internally to manage church members and cells
Issa is a MVC/EF spike for building a custom wedding dress. The project is still very much in inception phase. The idea is that the admin user (a friend of mine) would upload custom wedding dresses that she creates as her business. Users could then come and select different combos of wedding dresses and send the order details to her.
Molo was my Bsc Hons project for Computer Science @ NMMU 2014. There are a lot of mobile applications which aims to teach the user vocabulary of a foreign language. However, none of these applications are developed for South African languages. As a result, it was proposed to develop a mobile application that teaches the user basic vocabulary from either English or isiXhosa. The proposed solution had to contain innovative and immersive tutorials to teach the user approximately 10 new words/phrases per tutorial. Each tutorial had to contain a series of lessons and exercises which the user must complete successfully before being allowed to move on to the next tutorial. The application also had to be designed in such a way that it can support any two languages, and that more tutorials can be added by the developer after the completion of this project.
My online CV
Cordova/Phogap project that never really got going. Ugly sprawling code everywhere. Still learnt a couple of useful tricks. The idea for this app was that we build something similar to Uber, but for renting out office spaces from companies that have excess rooms available. Clients would then do business meetings in proper business environments rather than meeting in coffee shops.

Scythe is a strategic boardgame that I was introduced to a few years back, and Iโve taken quite a liking to it. The boardgame itself is complex, and the end-game calculations can be a nightmare. So why not automate them?
SquashBot is a mobile app that I developed in Java for the Android platform. The app allows the user to score a squash game electronically. The app also has a tournament/league section, which runs squash leagues or team tournaments electronically and includes detailed logs, fixtures, and other useful tournament information. SquashBot started as a semester project for a mobile development course I took in 2014, but later snowballed into a bigger project after Iโve completed my studies. SquashBot was launched specifically for the Jarvis Kaplan squash tournament of 2015, and received very positive feedback from the tournament organizers and participants. Afterwards Iโve maintained the app by continuously adding features and fixing existing bugs.
SquashBotWeb is still in its inception phase. My initial idea was to redo my old Android SquashBot project into a newer and more maintainable MVC/EF Core project and see where it leads me.
Angular Essentials with TypeScript - Star Wars Characters Project
Xamarin project I worked on for a short while to see if the project could bloom into something else. Never quite worked out, but was still usefull to learn some new tips and tricks. This project is not connect to any server/db, so be warned, a lot of what you're seeing is hard coded for UI mock-up purposes. Never got past the Android stage
