That is weird indeed, I appreciate the report. Everything seems to be working fine on MIUI OS and OxygenOS systems. However, I believe I already know what's causing the issue and I will be fixing it very soon. I may even have to resort to developing an internal file picker like many other video players do as this is a common issue across different Android phones.
Meanwhile, you could try downloading a "custom file manager" from Google Play Store. It may or may not appear among the options upon clicking the choose-vid button.
EDIT: Seems like this is a universal issue with Samsung phones that I didn't know of. There needs to be special coding for the file picking part exclusive to Samsung phones. Here's a reference link: Stackoverflow thread ref
I will implement that very soon.
EDIT2: Laughable; today I upgraded my OxygenOS to the latest version which has Android 12, I started facing the same issue which made me realize where the flaw was. I have implemented a solution and it should now be fixed.
