Something like this would probably help https://github.com/GritDesign/node-jpegorientation and I suspect the fastest rotation UI wise would be to just use CSS rotate transforms (not actually rotate the data).

i received 2 pictures from @algesten and they were ok. I guess a lot depends on how the photos are saved (i.e. which camera app is used) because some devices may save rotated data, other may usa exif data. So far i was not able to reproduce.
