Hi, thanks for the video. This is not a bug, but the intended default behaviour. See config.yml setting MinecartCollisions.

Ensures reliable transportation, as empty minecarts blocking the way are also removed.

You can set MinecartCollisions to true, then the empty cart will not be removed anymore. But then you won't have the feature to push nearby entities away, which makes transportation less reliable. Try out if MinecartCollisions: true works better for you. If it causes problems, I'll consider moving the "push nearby entities" feature to it's own configuration parameter.
