This usually can be solved by other means, can you point to the sample that exhibits this?
I agree that we should handle a few cases that are easy GC-wise (strings and vectors are good candidates).

@migueldeicaza sure, I've already completely removed GetVar/SetVar from https://github.com/xamarin/urho/blob/0d1fd09be902f5c1c93845095989c48f0aeaf8f2/Samples/Samples/Done/03_Sprites.cs I just filed this issue to remind to do the same for all others samples.

I've removed all GetVar/SetVar from samples so we can close this issue or leave it to remind to marshal them for some basic types.
