Content sync about gradle-aem-plugin HOT 3 CLOSED

Very interesting.

I think that such feature could be implemented in a way:

• content package need to be created manually on source instance (or maybe sync task will have an option to reuse some filter.xml from project and basing on it create that package on remote)
• AEM plugin will trigger package rebuilding on remote instance
• AEM plugin will download package and install it as it is being done in aemSatisfy

generally, this process will have at least 3 steps and need extra synchronization (waiting for package being built), so could consider such improvement as next major milestone 3.0

More than operating on CRX packages, I'd like to encourage to use dedicated tool for it (VLT RCP command). Thanks to fact that in Gradle AEM Plugin there is already aemVlt command we can achieve content sync in a way: https://github.com/Cognifide/gradle-aem-plugin#task-aemvlt
