This should probably be filed on the Markdown sync repo.
The existing code for the CLI handbook (not the CLI command reference, which is what this is based on) does some UI work here, as well as changing the edit screen a bit. On my list to steal that code too. :)

This is now implemented and live on DevHub:
The Edit Page link in the admin bar/etc links to GitHub, and the page title has an edit button next to it as well. :)
