No need to keep curation.wormbase.org. However, if these tools are going to be deployed as standard, it would be good if there were an easy way to get to them. If we use a random/opaque URL, then we would need to publish that to those interested, or link to it from the main website.

as discussed with @khowe, this is what I suggest:

Create a new elasticbeanstalk environment for:

• current live release
• current staging release

I need to work out what AWS resource we have available for this (will require 2 x EC2 instances for running 2 applications (peers). Currently the curation tools instance has an m3.xlarge isntance type assigned. I'll need to split this into two smaller m3 instances to support running both the current and previous WB migrated DBs concurrently.

N.B: I will also be renaming this repository "datomic-query-tools" to reflect the fact that these tools don't really have anything to do with curating (any more).

Hi @mgrbyte "datomic-query-tools" as a repo makes sense. Do you think the TrACe viewer part can be made available to public, to replace or coexist with the Tree Display feature on the WormBase website that lets user view the data and schema in ACeDB?

I think @a8wright might have a way to create a non-random url from elasticbeanstalk commands. The url would look like: http://datomic-to-catalyst-ws256.us-east-1.elasticbeanstalk.com

@sibyl229 I don't think TrACe viewer has a direct one-for-one replacement/feature for the "Tree Display" (I'd need to check it over to confirm this is in fact the case), but think one could be added, or a widget created that simulates the current behaviour.

The url you propose is exactly the kind of URL(s) I'd be seeking, ideally:
datomic-query-tools-ws257.wormbase.org or
wormbase-query-tools-ws267.us-east-1.elasticbeanstalk.com.
Since elasticbeanstalk urls are global, I think it'd be nice to have these class of URLs include the word "wormbase" :)
