I found that #61 (comment) addressed my take on the original issue.

With the described changes to configuration made, when point is on an appropriate line among the results, pressing n or p moves point to the expected line among the results, but also the corresponding source location (buffer and line) is displayed in another window.

The following configuration worked here (using straight.el):
