You could write a custom function for deadgrep-project-root-function
?
I'm not entirely happy with how deadgrep works here: the usecase you've described requires writing a little code. The opposite is also tricky: for some repos I'd like deadgrep to only search a subdirectory by default, which also requires a custom function for deadgrep-project-root-function
.
Perhaps a deadgrep-root-overrides
would be useful? An alist of the form:
(setq deadgrep-root-overrides
'(("my/project/git/1" "my/project") ;; would meet your use case
("other/project" "other/project/preferred/subdirectory"))) ;; would meet my use case
from deadgrep.
Thx for the suggestions (sry for my late answer). I'll probably override deadgrep-project-root-function
.
