I can confirm this behaviour too. I got this message after running bundle:
Using breadcrumbs_on_rails (2.2.0) from git://github.com/weppos/breadcrumbs_on_rails.git (at master)
breadcrumbs_on_rails at /home/al3xa/.bundler/ruby/1.9.1/breadcrumbs_on_rails-71c6eda26af3 did not have a valid gemspec.
This prevents bundler from installing bins or native extensions, but that may not affect its functionality.
The validation message from Rubygems was:
["Gemfile.lock"] are not files
