Hey, I just wrote an issue on webpack because I encountered the same problem. Here is a sample project showing the bug.
It's due to the last version, 1.4.14 and certainly the last 1.4.14 commit that concerns CommonChunkPlugin.
For now, force your webpack version to 1.4.13 and you'll be fine.
