Are you using http://dl.dropbox.com/u/183064/Minecraft_Mod.jar ?
If so, I can't help you more, I had occasionally that renders were skipped. You could try versions of dynmap of other developers, but for the moment I won't focus anymore on hMod and therefore will not try to fix hMod for this problem.
So, if the Minecraft_Mod.jar does not help, please be patience for the release of Bukkit.

java.lang.VerifyError: (class: net/minecraft/server/MinecraftServer, method: d signature: ()Z) Incompatible object argument for function call

With your jar file.

Delete your minecraft_server.jar and start the server again, it'll automatically download the latest minecraft_server.jar. That should work. Just for the heck of it, i've included Minecraft_Mod.jar in dynmap.zip, so that you have the correct versions of both (and deleting minecraft_server.jar will give you the correct version of that).

I let it download the server.jar , still the same error.

If you used the latest dynmap.zip with Minecraft_Mod.jar and map.jar, I don't know what might be the problem. In that case I can only suggest trying out dynmap of other people, waiting for the next hMod release or wait for Bukkit.

Just to be clear, you still need to place a block to let the tile regenerate. If it is ok, you'll see a png file in your tiles directory (set in your server.properties).

Well, then I'm out of ideas :P. I've had hMod not reporting that blocks were placed, but it did not happen often on my server. I don't know what the cause is, but it takes too much time to figure that out, since hMod will be broken/outdated anyway in a week or two.
