Where did you download and install WZ from?
If it’s from the Ubuntu package repos, that is not packaged by us and (from your report) seems to be broken. I’d suggest uninstalling warzone2100, warzone2100-data, and warzone2100-music (if installed) and then getting an official distribution from one of the links here: https://wz2100.net (I’d recommend Snap or Flatpak).

You are right. I thought I used the packages I built (https://xtradeb.net/), instead I used the ones from the Ubuntu distro.
Mine don't have the problem. I will inform them.
