As a follow up here I ran the task with the circle icon from the test directory in this repo and got the same thing, nothing visual. Can anyone help me out and see what I'm doing wrong? I'd love to use SVG icons in my project but this is obviously gating that. Appreciate any help anyone can offer.

wow, i am a complete idiot and misunderstood how this was all supposed to work. there is no visual output in the svg, it's just the definitions which then get injected into my files and I can color them visually with classes. yep, everything working fine now, nothing to see here.
