If you use config then it supports profiles. (look config.sample in this git). Then you can choose profile with (./telegram -p ).

I meant 'telegram -p [profile-name]'. I use it often, so it should work)

UPD: Sorry, looks like angle brackets are interpreted by git and not displayed)

sorry, I tried:
./telegram -p [profile-name]
where "profile-name" is a entry in the config.sample archive, and did not work for me. What is the exact syntax?

from tg.

vysheng avatar vysheng commented on September 22, 2024

For example:
./telegram -p test1

Thanks vysheng,
It goes into my old account and don't ask for a new one, that is what I want.
Do I need to change something in config.sample?

vysheng avatar vysheng commented on September 22, 2024

So changing default_profile does something different, then specifiing same value as option for [-p]? Very strange. What OS and version of libconfig do you use?

debian 6 stable. libconfig8_1.3.2-2_i386.deb

Hello,
i have the same problem, i want to delete the old number and register a new number. i deleted the tg folder, but after recreating it, it takes the old number again and doesnt ask me for a new number.

Hi!
I have tried to change the number, erasing tg folder.
After re-clone the repository, still with the same account as before.
I tried closing all sessions from mobile application.
And now, I have this error message:
*** error for query #6006157278641127432: #401 :SESSION_REVOKED

Thanks in advance.

edit: Sorry, my mistake, we need delete hidden folders.. (.telegram/ and tg/ folders)

from tg.

melonius avatar melonius commented on September 22, 2024

in fact, the only thing to do is delete de config directory. ( in my debian it is /home/MyUser/.telegram) that is a hidden directory
may be vysheg has a better solution that can work with more than one account, but this one works for me.
