Yeah I do need to add more time/date functions, currently there is a (time)
function that returns the system clock in uS and there is a (task-sleep uS)
call to suspend a thread.
There should be a better way to do timers, agreed, and a way to get a real
date/time. I will come up with a plan on this as there may be situations
where the process that wants the timer is not on a CPU that has time
hardware. So this sounds like a job for a TIME/DATE service. Let me think
on this one.
In the mean time, the (time) and (task-sleep uS) should get you going for a
basic clock app, but you won't be able to figure out the wall time/date of
the clock yet.

If your looking for a Lisp style (docstring) command there isn't one !
All the Lisp command syntax is parsed by the 'make doc' command into the doc/SYNTAX.md file and the doc/CLASSES.md file. So that another cmd line app called 'help' or such that should look up keywords in those files and show them..... such a lot to do, not enough time to do it all.
For now I just have all the project folder open in VisualStudio Code and if I forget what the parameters are to a call I search for '''class 'method" or (func to remind myself.
That kind sole has got intelisense on his todo list in his editor app as well..... ;)

I'll have to improve my setup in the meantime.
Is there a way to print to the host OS console, let's say, an attribute of something?
Let's say I want to print the 'color of an element to the console?

You can of course log to the DEBUG_SERVICE via adding a (debug (get button
'color)), that will let you see and step at that point if you run the GUI
debug app.
There is way to log to the host console from VP code rather than Lisp from
code. (debug-str "xxx") to put out a string, or (debug-num "xxxx" rx) to
put out a register hex value. But these are quite low level logging things.
If you just need to see the value of 'color property I go the route of
adding a (debug (get button 'color)) in my Lisp source.
I'm going to add a (log [form ...]) function shortly which will work like
(debug) but will not do the single step action, it will just log to the
debug service and carry on without allowing pause/stepping.
