This shouldn't happen any longer. We had to fix an issue in the API.

Thanks for the report. This appears to happen when user_data is empty. I'll get a fix in for that.

To reproduce
- create a new instance
go run main.go instance create --region="ewr" --plan="vc2-1c-1gb" --host="inst-fs" --os=1868 - get the user data on it
go run main.go instance user-data get c69a8bd5-05c7-47ad-bb8d-56a088b78bc2
from vultr-cli.
