This appears to be an event listener for the focus event, I'm actually looking to trigger the focus event from a parent component.

Thank you for posting this Kimel1. I was able to set the focus to the component that I wanted, but the cursor was not active and the document.body element was the active element. Using $nextTick did the trick!
