Apparently, this is intended. As of late, the openvpn packages no longer include the easy-rsa scripts. It says so on the download page here http://openvpn.net/index.php/open-source/downloads.html. Maybe we can install git and check out the latest version from the github repository?

Sorry for my late answer, I was in vacation...

Ubuntu and Debian will have an easy-rsa package in the new OS versions which can be used to install easy-rsa. Maybe CentOS has this as well?
I would more like to install easy-rsa with a package than checking it out via git...

CentOS does not, however you could always make one (RPM packaging is easy) and offer it with the module until then. Checking it out with git is only slightly more evil because there is an additional dependency on git, but at least you know it's the latest stable version. I will say this, from what I know of how EPEL and the CentOS repositories work, it may take a while for us to see a new package in them.

How about this?

Well, that's neat. I'm 80% sure that wasn't there when I originally filed this ticket. Well then I guess that answers our question, it's now packaged in epel.

Although to be fair it's built for Fedora (and I didn't test it myself).
But since it doesn't contain any binary I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work.

I'm not really in the RPM-thing. It does not look like it's in the official repo, is it? Could we install this package in an easy way? Or would we have to use an repo management module to include a new repo?

It's in epel, the same repo that has the openvpn package, so it may as well be official. I don't know how but I completely missed it when I wrote my original message. I wouldn't manage the yum repo through your module, that's just going to conflict with what most places do. I think it would be safe to just assume the easy-rsa package is available and make a note in the README that it can be found in epel; RHEL sysadmins will know what to do from there.

Closing here as it has been fixed with #32.
