unfortunately the one who built the script for armbian is not supporting it.
For us it is very difficult to do anything without the necessary hardware for verification.
So, not much hope for the time being, unless you have the skills and could create generic volumio scripts with our support...

Well I don't have that much expertise, but I would want to try when I have the time.
Alternatively you say you don't have the hardware, but if you could make a test build I would be happy to try it out and help bug fixing.

PM me on the forum, we're rather busy but let's see if we can work something out.

Do you have e-mail instead? I'm a new user on the forum and it tells me I'm not authorized to use the PM feature.

As the link OP posted says, the problem seems to be related mostly with using the same u-boot for all Armbian builds. I have a different board, PCDuino 3 Nano, I would love to use with Volumio.
I'm trying to understand the build process but I'm not really familiar with this kind of stuff. Seems to me that we need to get the script to get the proper files for each board, I don't know if we can automate that anyhow , or we need to add all the files for all the boards supported by Armbian and add a selector to the script, or which other options we have.
I will happily try with my board whichever suggestions you may do.
