We have the same issue. We had to go in and remove the text that was causing the issue and hence a 500 server error on the response. Not optimal hoping for a bug fix :)

Hi, it was intermitent. In the past six months has not happened again. I checked the plugins code and it was a problema with json_enconde PHP function. I have seen http://stackoverflow.com/a/16498714 before your post but the solution did not solve the problem.
