Alright, I'm getting closer but still not understanding some things. I realize that passport.authenticate is returning a function, so I need to call it instead.
passport.authenticate('ldapauth', authenticationOptions')( req, res );
Problem is this isn't a route in Express, so I don't have a req/res object to pass into it, nor am I using SSR, so I'm unsure of how I'm supposed to call authenticate.

Sorry, but I've never used Meteor so I cannot really help with that, and even if I had this is not really the proper forum for general Passport.js and Meteor questions. Stackoverflow would probably work better.
