@whaatt --tsconfig can now be specified with a path to your projects tsconfig.json file as of v0.51.0, this should fix your issue.
@domoritz can this issue be closed out?

Yeah, this won't pick up the tsconfig file.
Try ts-json-schema-generator --path tsconfig.json
The library could be improved to automatically read the config. Could you send a PR to add this feature?
