Yup that's true. Sprites are very much favored. The reason I'm not doing this is because

• the library does not support every emoji yet (they are still some missing for which I've created separate issues)
• Unicode 9 / 10 Emojis are also missing (maybe not every emoji but some)
• It's a lot of work to maintain the sprite and also in the first place to create it

I also spotted the SoftBank emoji unicode. Why do you need to support SoftBank? Is it widely used?

I'm trying to support the same emoji as whatsapp does (they're all more or less the same position / category if you compare the both). I think they're supporting them so does this library.
