probably not designed by default for strictly read-only devices.

BTW, you can also set read-only arbitrary device by blockdev --setro .

Indeed. So I'll close this issue as well, as util-linux can't do
anything about it.

BTW, you can also set read-only arbitrary device by blockdev --setro .

And another thing I didn't know, thanks! That's indeed much easier
than having to do the ptype/add_host dance.
