I had the same problem with 3.10 and 3.11 from Windows Store. It would never pass the Python check. Finally, I installed from https://www.python.org/downloads/ and included install of pylaunch. After that uno-check completed successfully with no errors.

@spouliot And you installed Python from Windows store? I was on 1.10.0 and I'm still having the issue.

Thanks for feedback @Soap-141. Out of curiosity are you running Windows on Intel or arm64 ?

I don't recall installing anything, Python related, but what uno-check suggested at the time.

Now if I check what I have installed I have Python 3.10 (which is the version uno-check suggest) from November 2nd, which is when I filled the issue.

But I also have Python 3.11.0 (64 bits) and Python Launcher installed on November 6th. Maybe that was picked while installing something else, like VSCode extensions - or I simply forgot about it...

Anyway I suspect that the latter, the Python Launcher, is what made the error go away (since that's the registry key being checked).

I'm reopening this as the current solution is to download Python 3.10. I'll try to uninstall 3.11 to see if I can reproduce the issue.

@spouliot I'm on Intel so it might not be the exact same issue, but I basically updated to Uno Check 1.10 from 1.5 and then installed Python from Windows Store and it never detected it.

Fix being backported to 1.11 I think.

Just a heads up. Everything else is fine but uno-check allways detects that Python is not present but it is installed. Fix opens store to install python 3.10, bit is is intalled already. I tried to...
