Doxie Pro support? about doxiego HOT 2 OPEN

I used to have a Doxie Go Wireless scanner but no longer own one, and it has been discontinued. The newer model Doxie Go SE + WIFI has built in WIFI. The scanners with WIFI expose a HTTP API which you can connect to, here are some documents you may find useful:

It would be good to have wired support for the Doxie Pro if possible. Maybe others would find it useful as well, as there is no Linux support offered by Doxie.

Lovely, thanks for the pointers! I'll open up a software USB sniffer and see if I can decipher what's going on. I'll do development and testing in a separate repo, and see if I can integrate it into this afterwards.
