Threaded entry methods (coroutines) are currently implemented using greenlets. Performance is very good (only adds about 2-3 us to a ping pong benchmark). A partial implementation with converse user level threads seems to show that a bit better performance can be obtained with these. However, performance of converse user level threads on Windows is not good. Also, a full implementation using converse threads would require more work (including at the Charm++ level) and it's not clear if it would have other restrictions compared to the current implementation using greenlets.
