Template not rendering when it should about typeahead.js HOT 4 CLOSED

Ok, I figured it out. The {{id}} part was being handled by Django's template engine before it even went to Hogan. And as Django doesn't have a clue what those variables are, the template was being left empty and hence the problem. I just had to escape the curly braces like template: '<strong>\{\{id\}\}</strong>',
