I can confirm your new script works! Great job! I tested it using MacOS and it works in PS and PS Beta, each frame loads in PS as group with contents. Thank you for all of your hard work, this is impressive :)

I was working on adding that feature, and there's a documentation mentioning about animated PSD, but I'd not able to test the script because I have no apps can deal it.
Please let me know if there're free apps can handle animated PSD (I don't have PhotoShop).

Thank you for the offer, and I found other alternative app. I'll work on the issue but it may take weeks. I'd happy if you can test development version when it is released.

I am still working on the issue, and I have found it very difficult to implement the animation feature. The majority of the animation feature in PSD files is undocumented and the PSD file structures are overly complex, which makes me uncertain that we will be able to find a way to implement the animation. While slices may be associated with animation, I am still unsure if they will be helpful in this situation.
I also made a tool to decode some part of the file.

I came here to inquire about this very thing! I noticed Pixaki struggles to properly export PSD's with frame animations, in their case all frames become folders labeled Frame %d on import. Anyway, I would greatly appreciate this feature because I upscale my game for the engine and often need to make quick fixes. Thank you regardless, I use this all the time!

Wow this is exciting thank you so much! Ok I will search around but for now, if you have access to an iPad, Pixaki can load and play PSD animations. There is free lite version that should work, if it doesn't I would be happy to gift you a copy of the app :)

I'm sorry it has proven so difficult, I wasn't sure but I suspected as much bc the developer of Pixaki (who is quite talented) seemed to have struggled to pull this off as well. In the case of Pixaki, animations load in PS not as frames on a timeline, rather as groups with each folder named "Frame 1" etc- a valiant effort that looked like it was expected to work, but alas. Anyway I appreciate you and the time you've put in, regardless of outcome :) I will check out your tool meanwhile!
