Is this still relevant?
Is this really drizzles task?
Only you know which networks have your contracts.
We have a network check in our dapp that displays a notice to the user if she is on the wrong network.

@numbbbbb The networkId is stored in web3.networkId. You could use this to check for the switch and display a warning if the user selects and undesired network.

If drizzleOptions had a networkID a check could be made after web3 is initialized; proceed or direct user to update network.
