Chrome 52 webview is dated. That may be your problem. Try sideloading a newer version from a site like apkmirror if Android won't update it. We're on 87 now I think.

For our device it's hard to update its webview to support browser so I use tencent X5 webview to instead. I have something change for code and seems just one function have little problem ( this webview don't have zoomBy function )
But as tencent X5 core can't be used in Google play( They download their webview apk when run the application, and seems google play don't allow that), I think it's not a good idea to pull request here? I'll upload my code on my fork when have spare time.
