Never seen it before.
To make any comment, it always depends on what kind of functionality you want. We use editline at Westermo for the CLI in WeOS and it has served us fine since around 2008. I resurrected it from several patches scattered all over the Internet (Minix, Mozilla, Festival, and others) and then found an older version in Debian. Mostly we wanted something very small and both libedit (NetBSD) and GNU Readline were far too big. They do however have features that I sometimes miss -- so, from time to time minor features are added.
