You're absolutely right.
I had the command incorrectly named in menu/markdown-pdf.json.
I will update with a patch (1.0.1) shortly, and you should be able to re-download.

That worked but with an error output though pdf has been created. The output is below:

This is (probably) happening because the focused window is not a textEditor.
Try closing the markdown preview pane, clicking on the editor with your .md file in it, and running the convert command again.

I will be adding a check for this bug shortly.
