Impossible to change default location /sdcard/logback about logback-android HOT 4 CLOSED

This isn't possible prior to v1.0.8-1.

In v1.0.8-1, the default file searched is assets/logback.xml, which could include a configuration file at any* other readable location on the filesystem (including your mounted SD card). See Initialization Search Path.

Here's an example:

assets/logback.xml

    <includes>
        <include file='/sdcard/foo/bar/baz.xml'/>
        <include file='/data/data/com.example/files/foo.xml'/>
    </includes>
</configuration>

/sdcard/foo/bar/baz.xml

<configuration>

I saw in the code that a global variable (logback.configurationFile) can be used to configure logback.xml file. Is it ok to use that with version 1.0.8-1 or is it a beta feature ?

Yes, it's ok to use that property in 1.0.8-1 (it's not completely functional in earlier versions). That variable is intended to override your normal configuration file for troubleshooting/testing purposes.
