How to sort with colspan? about sortable HOT 4 CLOSED

This seems to do the trick:

Aaah, I think I see what's happening. Colspan is messing everything up. When I attempt to sort the last column (8) with the last th (6), it's instead sorting the 6th column.

Is there any way I can get this to work with colspan? Note, a similar library just fixed the same bug. No idea if it's relevant, but here's the PR.

My first thought was to have the same colspan for the th, but I guess there would be no point to using colspan in that case.
