Yes I would like to do this. I was waiting for 1.0 and the Serde API to fully stabilize.

Im am working on this. You can copy the update commit from my fork if you want. Also i noticed some things worth changing and im working on them right now. Im considering forking it (like a real fork, not the github kind of) in the case you'r not willing to merge them. changes on my todo list:

• renaming structs to match serde_json
• adding benches & trying to optimize the code a little bit
• fixing variants (you'r abusing variants for the "Value"/"Bencode enum" type)
• maybe: converting to error-chain for error handling
• adding support for serde v1.0 non-copying feature
• replacing the Vec<Vec<Vec<u8>>> thing with a simple Vec<u8> in decoder & moving dict sorting to SerializeMap
• small misc things like adding docs url to the cargo.toml file
