Official ViPER4Android Audio Effects seems nice to be integrated with the Shuttle Music Player

First, I'd navigate the user to the default system equalizer if its present. An EQ on system level will probably work better than anything that comes in between the app and the system. Secondly, probably all equalizers are based off default AOSP EQ because for something custom you would probably need drivers to support it on hardware level (how V4A works). Third, have you seen the AudioFX from LineageOS, that was first introduced on OnePlus One? Its pretty good, and open sourced.

Superpowered looks like a really good alternative, and from what this page says, it seems like it is a lightweight SDK that could fit well in the shuttle world.

it should give the powet that Shuffle needs tbh, AudioFX is open source yeah it is pretty good but it does not increase the quality of the source, I use V4A together with O3T, the sound is awesome 👍
