Hi there! For this first version I'm targeting GNU social specifically. I'm using some non-statusnet API, partly because I can get richer data and (probably) partly because I'm ignorant of the statusnet equivalents.
I'm trying to build the app so it will not be difficult to add support for different kinds of servers later. For example when you create an account you should be able to choose between, say, GNU social, Statusnet and Mastodon and get the best possible data for that service. I'm going to formalise that after I have the basic features working for GS.
So that's on the roadmap... but gosh I've not been giving this much attention the last few weeks. Check back a little later!

Hi,
Thanks for the quick response. Guess I will have to look further for now.
