Interesting. Now I wonder if it could be confined to ggraph or if it's a peculiar way ggdag is using it
from ggraph.
is ggdag doing anything outside of building up a standard ggraph plot in the end?
from ggraph.
Well, ggdag sort of goes around ggraph when it comes to the API. It uses ggplot()
rather than ggraph()
. Internally, it uses the Geoms from ggraph. I wasn't able to replicate this with ggraph itself, which made me think it might be something about this way that ggdag makes use of the edge geoms.
from ggraph.
I can't see how that would be able to cause a system crash so it is more likely a bug latent in ggraph
from ggraph.
Oh I definitely think it's in that line cutting code, just maybe invoking it in a way that is not common in ggraph itself
from ggraph.
