Ran into another obscure issue (seems related to above). Let me see if I can try and explain.

This happens whenever I add any element in Page Builder which has an 'Image Upload'. Lets take 'Team Member' for example.

  1. add Team Member element
  2. punch in the details except images. Save and publish.
  3. View page and it works fine.
  4. edit Team Member and this time add an image. Save and publish
  5. View Page -> gives 'No data received' with ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE

  6. Remove Team Member. Save and Publish. View Page and it works fine again.

The same issue can be seen with Text Blocks and Testimonials - when images are added using the thickbox.

Hi,

We fixed this bug in the v1.2.7 release.

Please update and make sure it's working fine.

Awesome. That was really fast. You rock!

The Media insertion is working great now, but were you able to recreate the 'No data received' issue in my second comment. This happens whenever a 'Text block' has an image in it. The moment I remove the image and save it again, the frontend displays fine.

Furthermore, sometimes when I update the page, the Text Block (with image in it) shows this error. I reload, and it works fine, though I still have to remove the image for the frontend to work.

Jasin, we can't reproduce the bug with images

Maybe it's a problem in your localhost server. Could you please check your apache error.log?

Hi there,
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. The apache error log has the following relevant log:
[Tue Sep 23 15:35:44 2014] [notice] Parent: child process exited with status 255 -- Restarting.
Apparently something is causing Apache to crash.

I am closing this ticket since this doesn't seem like a Unyson related issue afterall. Thanks for your help!

cheers,
Jasin

For anyone else who might face the same issue:
This seems like a weird issue with WAMP / Apache where some randomness in the PHP universe causes Apache to crash. Taking clues from here I simply reinstalled WAMP upgrading from Apache 2.2.22 / php 5.4.3 to Apache 2.4.9 / php 5.5.12. I did keep the 64 bit version though (unlike the OP in the link above who simply reinstalled from 64 bit to 32 bit)
