Invalid authorization code but return accessToken about spotify-web-api-node HOT 1 CLOSED

I actually following Web Dev Simplified tutorial on youtube and someone commented the problem is with the <React.StrictMode>

I've noticed the same behavior and it comes down to running React in strictMode. your code is actually returning a 200 with the data, but then in strict mode the useEffect is called again and, as Kyle mentions in the video, the code is only good for one use. So on that 2nd call to the API it returns 400 invalid auth code. I assume there's a better way to solve this that I don't know about, but I just removed strict mode from the app.

UPDATE:

I ended up using a useRef to save the current value of code once the useEffect is called, and checking at the top if the code matches the current value to then return out of the useEffect so it's not triggered twice.
