I also removed device=gpu, but I am still getting the same error as @avostryakov
Could please somebody help me?
I installed Theano 0.8.2 through Anaconda and I would like to use the gpu: Titan X Pascal with CUDA 7.5.

The TITAN X Pascal will not work with cuda 7.5. Use cuda 8.0.

There is an official and supported download for ubuntu 14.04, so I don't see any special problems.
