Updating Lua about the-powder-toy HOT 4 CLOSED

Fedora 20 uses Lua 5.2 instead of old lua 5.1, and I haven't discovered a way to downgrade Lua from 5.2 to 5.1 because lots of basic components (such as yum) use Lua 5.2.
To order to compile The Powder Toy, I must install an old Linux distribution like Ubuntu 12.04 in a virtual machine and compile The Powder Toy in virtual machine with very low CPU speed (my CPU doesn't support VT-x).

just download the lua5.1 source package, build it, and name it distinguishably (eg if fedora names lua liblua.so, you should use liblua5.1.so)

I added --lua52 and --luajit compiling options, so now all we would have to do is compile with these (well, and figure out how to do it on mac ...)

Edit: well ok so now it's up to simon whether to use these compiling options or not, for now I will close this issue. Any versions I compile will be using --lua52
