I think a feature was added in v2.14.0 which looks for that kind of conflict and reports it

@drewfish indeed! Yes, this has now been addressed. @orange-buffalo could you try it out and see if your routes are being respected? There's no real way for us to use a different range because the intent is to use the range used by the cluster, but you should now get a report back that there's a conflict. You can also use the never-proxy configuration to prevent certain ranges from being proxied
