Open Source? about upcoming HOT 6 CLOSED

I think that's still up in the air. I'm all for it – if this is a project to increase our reputation among our peers, then open source would be a great way to do that.

@justinaguilar This is related to Issue #69 – we're using lots of open source goodness and some cutting-edge technologies that we could highlight on the case study. @BrendanLynch and I have also spoken about ways to make sure that the project is well-received by the open source community (that is to say, mitigating any nay-sayers).

Oh and I asked around – shouldn't be a problem with Apple to open source the project as long as we use a permissive license like MIT.

The writing of the casestudy will definitely be a team effort... hell, I'd argue that @ashfurrow is the best writer of the group, so there's a good chance you'll be writing most of it ;)
